ABOUT CIRCLE OF LIFE

Hello children!

We are about to reach the end of a year of hard work and effort... Before we say goodbye, I wanted to share something I read during the AFTER-PLAY, the day we staged "Circle of Life".

I read it to the J6 children, parents and teachers, but today I wanted to share it with you, who also took part in this great school project.

Before you start reading, play the video. The idea is that you should listen to the song on the piano as you read along, kind of "background music". The words were written by my youngest sister. Enjoy!

“Great and small” took part in this wonderful project and a real “Circle of life” was displayed right in front of our eyes tonight. Let the message brought to us through the powerful images and music, linger in our souls, away from time and space, in deep gratitude and as a reminder to do the same.

Because this play has been an invitation to find our place. And to become aware that there is more to be seen, than can ever be seen: and more to do, than can ever be done, only if we remember who we really are.

So just like the bird

loves being a bird,

and the giraffe

enjoys being a giraffe,

find your own ways...

Deep Joy is the clue:

whenever you feel it

you are right in your place.

Whatever you do

affects all the rest.

And what you don´t do

undone will be left...

So stand in your Light

and your Light will light others...

And trust the strong thread

that great and small gathers:

LOVE is this deep bond

that we manifest

in a million ways...

And tonight this play

is only an example...

If your eyes are open...

You can´t miss the rest!!!

Friday 29 June 2007

A new poem! Can you learn it?

Water, water everywhere, water all around, Water in the ocean, water in the ground.

Water in a river, water in a creek, Water in a faucet with a drip-drip leak!

Water at a fire, gushing through a hose, Water in a garden, so every flower grows.

Water for the animals swimming in the sea, Water, water everywhere for you and for me!

I’M SINGING IN THE RAIN… (try to sing it along!)

Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du

Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du Du

I´m singin´ in the rain

Just singin´ in the rain,

What a glorious feeling,

And I´m happy again.

I´m laughing at clouds

So dark, up above,

The sun´s in my heart

And I´m ready for love.

Let the stormy clouds chase.

Everyone from the place,

Come on with the rain

I have a smile on my face.

I´ll walk down the lane

With a happy refrain

Just singin', singin' in the rain.

Dancing in the rain.

I'm happy again.

I'm singin' and dancin' in the rain.

Dancin' and singin' in the rain.

Keep on singing!

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head

And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed

Nothin' seems to fit

Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun

And I said I didn't like the way he got things done

Sleepin' on the job

Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know

The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head

But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red

Cryin's not for me

'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'

Because I'm free

Nothin's worryin' me

------ trumpet ------

It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head

But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red

Cryin's not for me

'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'

Because I'm free

Nothin's worryin' me

Welcome to our first blog!

Hello children! You may be wandering... What is a blog??? Why a J4 blog??? Ok. Let's go step by step. Firstly, a blog is a web page with information about a particular subject. There are different kinds of blogs, and we can create one, or many. You can use blogs for many purposes: to give opinions, to share information or news, to tell people about a trip, etc. In fact, the word blog comes from a combination of two words: "web" + "log", which form "weblog". This word is then is shortened to "blog". You already know what the web is (remember Happy Earth?) A "log" is an official written record of events, especially on a journey in a ship or plane. The captain of a ship usually keeps a record of whatever happens during the journey, so that anyone can read it once the journey finishes. This one is called an "edublog"; it was created with the idea of using it at school to communicate, publish, organize, store and share information with your teacher. WHEN YOU WORK ON THIS BLOG, REMEMBER TO FOLLOW YOUR TEACHER'S INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY. So... let's get started! Good luck!!! See you soon!
